Borage & company

The Borage plant has forced it’s way up through a throng of other herbs on this rather untidy plot, the bristley hairs shining brightly in the mid-day sunshine.
Borage, (Borago officinalis), also known as a starflower, is an annual herb originating in Syria. Traditionally borage was cultivated for culinary and medicinal uses. The seed oil is desired as source of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA).
